Effect:

After a very long test period using the ZeoVIT method, we are confident that it is now simple to maintain the extreme natural coloration found in SPS from Fiji, Tonga, The Solomon Islands and, Micronesia. The aquarium water is biologically revived, all the corruptive elements are exported by the skimmer and the Zeolite. To maintain efficiency, it is essential to clean the skimmer regularly so as to maximise export of unwanted compounds and porteins. Old or brown SPS will return to their natural color. The tissue will brighten and colours will change to bright and/or metallic appearance. Polyp extension is also significantly increased during the hours of light..

A Miracle drug?

Perhaps. The time taken to acheive the coloration seen in our own systems can vary up to as much as 9 months and is very much dependant upon the level of contamination in the aquarium. Those who hope to see the effect after a few days, should try something else - this takes time and patience, but the results are very worthwhile. Zeovit should not be overdosed so as to give corlas time to acclimatise to the new water environment. If this is changed too fast the SPS don't have enough time to acclimate and can suffer. The same principle applies to Zeobak and Zeofood. Both, Zeofood and Zeobac supply the SPS with the necessary elements in a low nutrient environment.

It is important to note that you should reduce dosing of any and all trace elements to 5% of the manufacturer recommendation, especially Iodine and Iron. Optimal conditions for the ZeoVit method are Calcium approx 400mg/l, Magnesium approx 1300-1350 mg/l and KH of 6-8 is sufficient.

Usage hints:

The Zeovit should be placed in a strong flow of around 2000 lph This can either be in the sump or directly connected to the tank. We offer a reactor for Zeovit which can be purchased directly from us. The food and the bacteria can be placed directly into the tank or the sump.

Soft Corals, Leathers Clams: Until now we have seen no negative effects with Tridacnas or Soft corals (Xenia, Cespitularia,Sinularias etc.) It was noticeable that the Xenia (different kinds) pumps very fast and continues to grow at a similar rate to that found in nature.

The ZeoVit system is constantly being improved and further developed to offer better value to the home aquarist..

Intressant verkar det i alla fall! Kan man få lite roligare färg på korallerna så skulle det inte skada... Verkar inte tokdyrt heller finns bl.a. på http://www.aquapro2000.de/
