SPS dominant floating reef.

Hi all, 

 

Below is a video of my SPS floating reef. I was planning to upgrade to a bigger tank in time for my FoxFace to grow into it, but then life got in the way of the upgrade. I wanted to introduce the tank here to see if perhaps someone can find a new home for the FoxFace. I'm happy to give him/her away, or swap for any little critter or coral that would be happy in my tank. I have an advertisement in the buy-sell category, but have had no luck finding a home for him/her so far. I'm also keen to learn more from the community as I plan to step up to a bigger tank (new project incoming). 

I'm also essentially a newbie, this is my first tank. But I've had some professional guidance that helped a lot along the way (shout out to MichaelE). I'm sure I've made a few mistakes, feel free to advise me if you see anything I could do better. Some details below:

• I was lucky with my acros for a while, but had some problems after a trip to Tokyo and decided to automate with a Profilux as prevention. Acros are in recovery mode at the moment.
• Am now trying to get control of some cyano that has popped up recently.
• Normally I have sand, but removed it for a bit, will add it back in again soon. 
• The sump is designed for the tank upgrade, but I haven't managed to do it yet. Will be fun to do the upgrade someday with this community to help guide me. 
  • Perhaps I am understocked with fish for the water volume and acropora growth? I don't really know, but the Acros don't grow very fast.
