Tack, det blev rätt bra tycker vi. Fast vi ska bygga en huv över också så småningom. Inget nytt direkt i det stora. En Acropora har dött, flyttade han från bryopsisdjungeln då han var lite blek men antagligen för sent. En till som vi flyttat är på gång att ev kasta in handuken med. Annars är det väl helt ok, Kalkalger, caulerpa och bryopsis tävlar om utrymme. Hästarna mår bra och det är ju huvudsaken. Hur är det med dig, har du bakat nått?

Tack så jätte mycket, det värmer Allt är som bekant inte i tipp topp just nu i karet. Har nog fortfarande en inkörning sen flytten. Så det innebär att vi inte har så mycket att byta med just nu, om du inte vill ha tok blekta koraller förstås Vi har inte kalkreaktor, men funderar skarp på att skaffa det i framtiden. Nu kör vi med balling Kalsium manuellt när nivåerna går ner, känns lite halv bökigt. Du är jätte välkommen hit när du har tid och lust. Bara skicka PM så sätter vi på kaffe.

Fast det är ju inte alla korallerna Kanske 5 st som är blekta. Det mesta mår bra, gorgonierna, de flesta knappar, vissa riccordeor och vissa sps:er verkar trivas hur bra som helst.

Jag tror att karet är i inkörning fortfarande, antagligen så käkar algerna så mycket skräp så att det är därför som testerna inte ger några utslag. Men tyvärr så är det ju inte alla koraller sps:er, utan även knappar och skivisar har tappat färg.

Nej ingen nitrat, slutade med den efter 2,5 vecka då Bryopsisen började ta över karet. Kör fortfarande med aktivtkol, uv och inget annat. Skummaren är inställd på blöt skummning och att vi satt ner en till returpump i sumpen som hjälper till att får ner vattnet till skummaren. Ska testa vattnet när Anders har kommit hem, jag är lite för kort för att hålla på med karet Macroalgerna växer som ogräs, vi ska försöka riva bort så mycket som möjligt här någon dag.

Vi har inte haft i den andra skummaren, men vi skummar betydligt mycket blötare nu. Plus att vi har ökar på returen ifrån sumpen, tror inte att vi hade särskillt bra drag innan. Nu är det iaf två Aqua Bee 2000 UP, fast det fixade vi för bara någon dag sen så vi har inte sett något resultat än förutom skummaren då *skratt* Han som skulle baka så stort Besvikelsen måste ha varit stor. Nja, det gå inte framåt med korallerna på bilderna, men mycket annat verkar må bra. Våra fina nya riccordeor mår skit, så nu har vi flyttat dem till ett annat litet kar. Vi kämpar vidare Tack för all hjälp!!

If you're unfamiliar with it and just happen to be browsing this forum, you may be completely clueless. There are three general conditions that may be described as gas bubble disease: internal gas bubble disease, external gas bubble disease, and pouch emphysema. So, what exactly are they? External GBD This condition is thought to be caused by either bacterial infection (in which case waste gases produced by the infecting bacteria become trapped under the skin) or by gas super-saturation of the water in which the seahorses reside. Gas super-saturation causes problems similar to the bends, which affects SCUBA divers. The situation, in which gas levels in the water are much higher than normally possible (caused by limited areas for gas escape), causes gas bubbles to form where possible. Because the pressure inside of a seahorse is lower than the pressure of gas super-saturated water, the gas bubbles emerge directly under the skin of the affected seahorse. Symptoms: •subcutaneous (under the skin) air bubbles that may occur anywhere on the head, body, or prehensile tail •buoyancy and movement complications The bubbles can cause stress on a seahorse as problems with buoyancy and movement arise. If left unchecked, the disease may eventually cause death in the infected specimen due to this stress. The appearance of external gas bubble disease can be a sign of more serious problems. Internal GBD The possible causes of internal gas bubble disease are a constant topic of conversation (and argument). It is thought to be cause by some of the same factors as external gas bubble disease-- gas super-saturation or bacterial infection --although its precise cause is unknown. Unfortunately, if given the opportunity to progress to actual total-body bloating, it is often too late for the infected seahorse. Symptoms: •severe bloating of the entire body •external gas bubbles •exophthalmia •buoyancy and movement complications The most grave problems with internal gas bubble disease lie in its crippling effects on the infected specimen's internal organs. If allowed to progress, often the organs are damaged beyond recovering, leading to severe organ failure. Pouch Emphysema As with internal gas bubble disease, the causes of pouch emphysema are highly disputed within the seahorse hobby. It was once thought that the condition could be traced to embryonic matter that is not expelled during labor rotting inside of the pouch. This decomposition process would yield gasses that inflate the pouch. Do to the fact that the condition often shows up in 'virgin' male seahorses, however, other theorized causes may be more reasonable. These include micro-bubbles in the water column that can collect in the pouch during mating rituals and bacterial infections, the waste products of which include gases that can fill the pouch. This type of infection is often attributed to recurring pouch emphysema. More recent research, however, has traced a more likely cause to a biological process known as the hydration of CO2(g), carbon dioxide gas, to H2CO3(aq), carbonic acid. This process occurs on a cellular level. An enzyme known as carbonic anhydrase catalyzes the hydration of CO2(g) with H2O(l) to H2CO3(aq), carbonic acid. When this reaction is disturbed, however, CO2(g) is not converted into H2CO3(aq), thus leading to a buildup of carbon dioxide gas in the pouch tissues. The exact cause of the disruption of this process, however, remains unknown. Symptoms: •grossly bloated/swollen pouch •severely hindered locomotion and buoyancy problems This malady only infects male seahorses as females do not have pouches. If not treated, the condition will cause the infected male to have limited locomotion and severe buoyancy problems that can lead to stress and secondary infection. Cessation of appetite normally follows, and the horse may starve. Other problems include the possibility of the infected horse becoming stranded on a filter intake, overflow box, or similar piece of equipment. Prolonged experiences like this can cause internal injury and stress. -Will Wooten

Oj, bra tips! Hittills så har vi rivit i allt. Brukar algen tappa lite grön färg när den är färdig växt?

Skummaren vi har nu är FM Ultraskim 2 (nålhjulsimpeller), om en vanlig Ultraskim 2 skulle vara bättre så har vi det med, så vi kan lätt byta, eller köra båda två Tror att den är för 1500 liter, vi har max 1200 liter netto skulle vi tro.
