"3 x 250W BLV 14K SE + 4 x 80W T5 (2 x Narva Blue2 & 2 x ATI Aquablue Special). The bulbs run 10 hours & the T5`s 12 hours. Bulbs are replaced every 5 – 6 month, T5`s every 6 – 8 month." "this is my second set of the BLV 14k 250 SE. They look bright white and I love the look. The main problem is they need to replaced much often. I have observed a decrease in colouration after 4 month, replaced them after 5. Now since one week with the fresh bulbs colouration is perfect again." "It is the new bulb of ATI which is called ATI Aquablue Spezial "new Generation". I have excellent results in the colouration of Seriatopora, Pocilopora & Stylophora corals. Acropora & Montipora are not that much affected but colouration in those corals increased after the fresh bulbs where installed. The lighting fixture is a AquaConnect Power Riga and the T5’s are in the hosing. "With the 14k bulbs I had to increase my lighting period from 7 hours (BLV 10K) to 10 hours to get a similar." "However you can run also the BLV bulbs (10K) for one year if you do not care to much about the colour change in the corals to less intensive. If I notice this sign, I change the bulbs as I always try to keep colouration as intensive as possible." "Switched back from BLV 14k to BLV 10k two weeks ago. I have observed just positive results in colouration which is hard to see in the pictures." Han har alltså gått tilbaka till 10K lampor efter att provat 14k lampor i nästan ett år. /Janne
