Mussla med snäckor?

Har för mig att du kan skydda musslan med aquascape-epoxi... Det hindrar parasiter från att ta sig in underifrån. Vet inte exakt hur man gör, men kan vara en billig försäkring!

Det låter intressant.

Det kanske finns någon som har gjort det och kan dela med sig av erfarenheten eller vet vart man kan hitta information.

"Clam Protection

Clams are very susceptible to attack by bristle worms, especially when positioned on a sandy or gravel substrate. If you have had clams die in the past then this is probably why. The worms attack the base of the clam at night and slowly eat it from the inside.

If an Aquascape base shaped to the individual clam is used then the clam will glue itself onto the base thus sealing itself from attack.

To create the clam base first mix the putty and form it into a ¼ inch thick elongated pancake. Press the clam onto the Aquascape to make an impression, remove the clam and place the putty in water to allow the colour change to take place and leave to set. Position the clam on the base inside the aquarium. The clam will now glue itself onto the Aquascape base and protect itself against any attack"

Detta ser väldigt bra ut men jag undrar hur det är för att hindra mot pyramidsnäckorna? Rent logiskt är det bra att den kan skydda sig underifrån men är det inte samtidigt ett utomordentligt bra ställe för pyramidsnäckorna att lägga ägg i små glipor? Sedan borde det bli svårt att rengöra musslan om angreppen kommer?

Den blå musslan som dog stod nedsänkt i en gammal fraggsten som fyllde samma funktion, dock inte med den perfekta passformen. Där gömde sig pyramidsnäckorna unde och kunde inte observeras tydligt om man inte lyfte på själva musslan.
