The aquarium computers ProfiLux and ProfiLux Plus from the company GHL GmbH & CoKG of Kaiserslautern are intended to assume the most important regulation functions in the aquarium – control of temperature and pH (Plus version only) as well as dimming the lighting and switching popular items of equipment on and off.

The biorhythms of fishes and plants, which are primarily determined by the lighting and the temperature cycle, can thus be optimally controlled via one of these pieces of equipment. The menu-led and intuitive control system allows all adjustments to be made quickly and easily.

Alternatively the equipment can also be controlled via the built-in PC interface. The necessary software for Windows PCs is available free of charge. To facilitate installation all the functions are already pre-set to suit the majority of aquaria. In this way it should suffice for the aquarist to adjust just a few settings. All settings remain stored in the event of power outages, and in the event of total failure the factory settings can be re-installed. ProfiLux uses a radio receiver to regulate time and date settings automatically.

The internal clock, which controls all automatic processes, is constantly checked against the incoming time signal, and, if necessary, slowly corrected. This means it is possible to spread the change from winter to summer time over several days and adjust the biorhythms in the tank without trauma. The lighting control offers a number of special features. Up to four fluorescent tubes can be dimmed independently of one another in a completely programmable sequence. The dimming period can be up to four hours,and the increase in light intensity after the dimming process can likewise take place over a chosen time span. It is thus possible, using a combination of tubes producing light in different parts of the spectrum, to vary not only the light intensity but also the light spectrum in the aquarium,continuously throughout the day. Neutral daylight at midday, reddish light at sunset, and bluish moonlight at night not only give pleasure to the observer but also provide the aquarium occupants with nearnatural lighting. Because several dimming sequences per day can be programmed it is possible to avoid algae by programming tropical twilight at midday. The simulation of cloudy periods and the phases of the moon likewise contribute to realistic illumination.

In line with this, GHL also offers a comprehensive range of dimmable fluorescent units and hanging lamps using T8 and T5 technology. Lights from other manufacturers can also be used. The very precise electronic pH control (+/- 0.1) can be controlled downwards (acidified, eg via addition of CO2) or upwards (made more alkaline). It can be programmed to switch off at night. The pH electrode can be easily calibrated by pressing a button. The temperature is measured by the sensor provided. ProfiLux Plus can control conventional tubular heaters, substrate heaters, and cooling units. The interactive control using intelligent regular switching ensures permanent optimal heating with an accuracy of 0.1¡C. The temperature can be lowered at night.

There are programmable switched sockets for controlling additional equipment (eg pumps, automatic feeders, etc.). Numerous additional interesting functions, such as the therapy program for sick fishes (gradual automatic change in water temperature) or the output of informational texts (eg filter maintenance reminders) make the maintenance of the aquarium considerably easier.

All our dealers can offer the complete system.

The problem is that most of them are not wellinformed because ProfiLux Plus II is

brandnew.

In future the computer, the manual and our site will be translated to English

Ja Iks borde sparka sin designer måste va han som designade polisradio på 70 talet hehe. Jag tror att blåtanden måste vara så att den kan snacka med pc´n om man har någon blåtands lösning på pc´n svårt å tänka mej att det skulle vara till styrning av pumpar å annat, inte än de kommer nog snart. Hehehe. På den här ingår ju temp det gör de ju inte på Iks. Men såg du deras externa display den måste Iks designern vart med på ett hörn på Hehe.

Japp det stämmer.

Dom tänds upp olika för att få olika ljus allt från soluppgång till solnedgång blixtar på himmlen i blått eller röda/rosa

Mycket nöjd med min.

Har en digital dosa med 6 uttag en nivågivare och en temp probe.

- PC-sladden behövs då man köper enheten så man lättare kan programmera enheten om man nu ej köper WLAN, LAN, USB korten så man kör det denna vägen

- 2st Tunze Stream sladdar och en Y-splitter så man kör streampumparna på samma kanal utgång (L1/L2 , L3/L4)

- Grymt att man kan ställa in att ifall tempen överstiger x grader så stänger den av lamporna som man vill.

- Flotörenheten finns även en fördröjnings funktion och en hur länge den bara får gå per gång

Gillar iden att man kan koppla in fler Ph prober med extra moduler om man kör tex Kalkreaktor. En styrning för Kalkreaktorn å en för kontroll i karet.
